It's Time to Go Racing!

The 2010 edition of the Ontario Pro Challenge Series is right around the corner, as the season opener is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 at Flamboro Speedway.  After a banner year in ’09 which saw a record average car count, this new season will enjoy a significant jump in numbers as over 24 cars appear to be in preparations for the new campaign.  We’ll have a few preview pieces here on ‘Pro Challenge Online’ over the next couple of weeks, targeting the returning veterans and the long list of rookies.  We’ll also start profiling the individual drivers in the program, running these features in between our regular race reports.

After a chilly off-season, the Pro Challenge competitors are no doubt eager to get back on the track, and this excitement was on display in mid-April when an open practice session as held at Flamboro.  A handful of eager drivers braved the elements during a very cold outing, but this dedication only served to begin what will surely be the biggest season of Ontario Pro Challenge racing to date.

Stay tuned for more information of the series.  For those wanting to know when the series will visit your home track, head to the Ontario Pro Challenge website.
